On November 17th of last year I got to marry the man of my dreams.
We made a life-long covenant before The Lord and our friends and family to love and serve another till death do us part. Not until things get tough, we grow apart, or till one or both of us is no longer happy. We are in this for the long haul. Divorce is not an option.
I'm not saying it's going to be easy. We are sinners in a broken world. We've seen marriages get torn down and fall apart. But we've also seen marriages be restored and made new. God is mighty and He is able.
Dave and I can't do this marriage on our own. It wont work if we depend on ourselves and think we have all the answers.
Zechariah 4:6 "...Not by might nor power, but by my Spirit, says The Lord Almighty."
Although the world will tell us differently, we can't succeed in our own strength. That's something that I have to tell myself over and over again.
God is good and I am not.
